The Old Man and The Sea by Ernest Hemmingway

Novel of “The Old Man and the Sea” is a story about a struggle of a old man in the sea to get a big fish, the name of fish is Marlin. The name of the old man is Santiago. In this novel Santiago described as a loneliness man. His wife was died, he doesn’t have children and he is a closed man. He only accompanied by a child his name is Manolin. He have a dreams that he will get a big fish in 85 day. After he had gone eighty-four days without taking a fish in the Gulf Stream.
And after that he go to sailing on the sea to get a big fish alone. Actually his friend Manolin wants to accompany Santiago to sailing, but Santiago doesn’t want it. And he goes to the sea alone. On the sea he looked turtle, dolphins and others. After that, he feel that his fish hook get a pressure. And after that he looks it. And he realizes it is Marlin. And he try defeat the fish. And he can defeat the fish in a few days. But the blood of the fish was mixed with the water on the sea. So that make shark come to Santiago boat. And the shark attack Santiago but in a few days Santiago can defeat them. But, Santiago can’t keep his fish. Because he have to cut his fish and throw to the shark. And finally, he only can bring head of the Marlin. And he can show to other people that he is still strong and brave.
